Rocky Worlds DDT: Targets
Targets Under Consideration (TUC) Targets Under Consideration
Introduction
To date, the Rocky Worlds DDT program has selected nine targets to perform observations: GJ 3929 b, LTT 1445 A c, LTT 1445 A b, LHS 1140 b, TOI-198 b, TOI-406 c, TOI-771 b, HD 260655 c, and TOI-244 b. JWST observations are expected to be performed to obtain secondary eclipse measurements with 15 μm photometry, while HST/UV observations are expected to be obtained to form a panchromatic spectrum of the host stars, as well as to monitor possible stellar flares.
All the targetes were drawn from the Targets Under Consideration (TUC), a list that compiles possible targets that are relevant to the DDT program. This TUC list has been curated thanks to contributions from the community, the Core Implementation Team (CIT) at STScI and the Rocky World’s DDT Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC). These very same contributions will be used to define the next set of targets to be observed by the DDT.
The TUC plot and table
Below is a plot of 80 targets that are being considered for observation by the Rocky Worlds DDT. The plot and table are interactive. Here are some instructions on using the Bokeh plot. You may also highlight targets on the table to see their location in the plot.
  • slides Download   download the complete TUC table
  • lasso Select targets with a lasso
  • lasso Zoom in
  • lasso Tap an individual target
  • lasso Reset to original plot
  • lasso Activate hover option
